Reading and playing

The quiz asks for no personal information and keeps its score only in memory during your visit. The reader’s settings apply to your current visit. We have not added advertising or analytics to this website.

Embedded videos

Videos load from YouTube’s privacy-enhanced player only after you press play. Playing a video connects your browser to YouTube, whose own privacy practices then apply. The website offers embedded playback and share links.

Story-update signup

Only a parent or guardian should sign up. We save the adult email address, signup time and permission text for occasional story and activity updates. Signups are saved for the parent managing this site. Automatic newsletter delivery is not yet enabled. The signup confirmation shows a personal unsubscribe link; using it deletes the email record. The parent managing this site can export the subscriber list.

Artwork submissions

We save the picture, artwork title, story title, guardian email, submission time and permission record. Only the artwork title, picture and story title can appear in the gallery. Guardian emails are never shown in the gallery.

Each submission starts as pending. Only the authorized parent reviewer can see pending pictures or approve them. Rejection deletes the artwork and submission record. Unapproved pictures older than 30 days are removed when the gallery or review area is next opened. Approved artwork remains until the site manager removes it.

Submit artwork only. Do not include a child’s full name, photograph, school name, address or location. The browser prepares a fresh image before upload to remove embedded photo metadata. Please also check the visible picture for private information.

Permission and removal

The submitting grown-up must have permission to share the artwork and agree to its display after review. Keep the submission reference shown after upload. Ask the parent managing this site to remove an approved picture or delete a submission using that reference and your guardian email.

Public stories, protected review

Stories and activities can be viewed without signing in. Only the designated parent reviewer can access pending artwork and subscriber records after signing in. The website runs on Hostinger. Newsletter records, artwork and permission records are saved in private storage on the same hosting account. The designated parent signs in using a short-lived code sent to their registered email. No newsletter or artwork information is sent to the separate ChatGPT-hosted preview.
